Qualifications & Experience:
- A University Degree/College Diploma is required. A Training / Certification from APS or CIPS will be an added advantage.
- Three (3) to Five (5) years of work experience in procurement is necessary. Real estate or Facility management experience will be an added advantage.
- Solid working knowledge with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience working with ERP Systems (JD Edwards, AX Dynamics, SAP etc) will be an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, customer service, leadership and negotiation skills are required, as well as strong delegation and time management skills, with excellent initiative and follow-up capabilities.
- Strong people management skills with the ability to provide guidance and development.
- Communication skills in English is a must (Read, Write & Speak). Arabic would be an added advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Coordination of all activities related to the full cycle of Procure-To-Pay (P2P), right from the sourcing of quotes / proposals, negotiating best terms, issuance of Purchase Orders, follow-up / expediting deliveries and ensuring that the vendors are paid on-time.
- Assisting in identifying new potential suppliers and in the Vendor Registration Process.
- To provide support to the management for competitive bidding process, participating in negotiations with suppliers, recommending contract awards, and providing support pertaining to the management of new supplier transitions.
- Identification of opportunities for cost reduction through contract improvements, contract consolidation and the potential for inclusion of additional services in the outsourcing portfolio.
- Providing support on corporate strategies and coordinating reciprocal feedback between Strategic Procurement and the Operational Clients.
- Providing ongoing support and training as required to all direct reports on procurement policies, processes and contract management.
- Gain a thorough understanding of SNC-Lavalin O&M’s procurement policy and provide procurement process training across all Strategic Client Units.
- Respond to quality management issues and supplier performance concerns.
- To support the Procurement Team in achieving the annual departmental objectives and performance KPIs.
- To perform all tasks assigned with integrity and honesty.
