Overview
This position is physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP**
Reports to the TMP Supervisor and dispatches all types of vehicles within the Transportation Motor Pool; determines and selects appropriate-type and -size vehicle based on requirements; i ssues vehicles and/or equipment within the Army Regulations; responsible for the direct supervision of dispatchers; compiles a list of available government owned vehicles. Coordinates the servicing, repair and maintenance scheduling of all Government owned vehicles; keeps records and reports on gas and oil usage, mileage, and provides route and destination information and instructions. Maintains daily operations by initiating and responding to all telephone calls, emails, and other communication forms received on their own account and/or by the TMP/CLVB Supervisor and Fleet Coordinators.
Responsibilities
This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.
Lead dispatcher is in control of dispatch operations and makes difficult decisions in the absence of supervisor or judgment.
Maintains data required for reports, such as mileage, passengers transported, and accidents.
Directs vehicle operations as necessary to accomplish any valid requirement.
Utilizes the Global Combat Support System (GCSS) or manual means to dispatch and coordinate vehicles; maintain proper use of the Department of the Army forms.
Coordinates all dispatch operations for Government Owned vehicles and/or Leased Vehicles.
Ensures that the proper Department of the Army forms/reports are closed out when vehicles or equipment is turned in (make sure customer follows turn in procedures).
Refers to the computer database that vehicles are within the period of performance on the existing contract.
Ensures that the vehicle operator is properly licensed and has valid tasking.
Provides the customer necessary documents and direction for performing the PMCS.
Gather all documents and information for a recovery of TMP/CLVB assets.
Performs Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
High School diploma.
Must be CAC eligible and/or be able to obtain a CAC Card.
Required Certifications:
GCSS-Army Certification
Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination:
To be qualified for this position you must comply with USCENTCOM MOD 16 that requires proof that you are fully vaccinated for COVID-19, as defined by the CDC or host country requirements. As of now, to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 you must have received either two doses of Pfizer BioNTech Vaccine, two doses of AstraZeneca/Oxford Vaccine, two doses of Moderna Vaccine, or one dose of Johnson & Johnson Vaccine, and two weeks must have elapsed after the final dose was administered. This definition may change in accordance with CDC guidelines. Compliance with this government requirement is an essential function of the position and is a condition of employment.
Experience:
Four (4) years experience in prior dispatching.
One year experience in a customer service environment.
Experience in the Middle East or deployed status a plus.
Skills:
Excellent computer, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills required. Computer skills include a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel
Ability to communicate effectively with multiple nationalities.
Working knowledge of general communication center policies and procedures.
Ability to function as a team member within the department.
Working Conditions:
Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).
Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
Physical Requirements:
Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices. Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
