JumpCloud is looking for an Android Engineer to join a brand new engineering team on our Cloud Directory Platform whose charter will be to focus on the Android Mobile application of the password management solution we are building.

You will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the success of this team as it dives directly into building the most robust, secure and scalable android app that will give customers access to their sensitive data. This unique team’s charter will be to help understand the existing solution we have, the short and long term plan as well as our current focus. This could entail working across the complete JumpCloud platform to provide the best customer experience around our products and services

Key Responsibilities
Ensure engineering excellence to deliver robust, secure, scalable, and high performance apps and enhancements in a timely manner
Maintain and develop new Java/Kotlin code to improve and extend the JC Android apps
Evaluate the existing applications and implement new technologies to maximize app’s efficiency.
Maintain and update the design specifications and source code for new JC applications and solutions.
Perform coding, debugging and testing
Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
Participate in design brainstorming sessions, technical design reviews, bug triage, and functional walkthroughs
Create design documents when required
Actively work with SW developers and architects to determine their needs, and innovate and implement solutions accordingly
Perform unit and integration testing on changes
Develop verification tests and reports for JC products and services, and supervise execution
Identify the appropriate standards to be employed to guide product design and ensure adherence to these standards
Plan, schedule, track and coordinate tasks within team planning meetings
Work alongside our other engineering teams
Minimum Requirements
Detailed understanding of all JC products
Strong knowledge of Google’s Android design principles and guidelines.
Familiar with different versions of Android and Android SDK.
Experience programming in Java/Kotlin
Ability to juggle multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines
Critical thinking skills and a high attention to detail

This role is remote in the country of Lebanon. You must be located in and authorized to work in Lebanon to be considered for this role.
