Assistant - Finance ( Dammam )

Support the Line Manager in recording and summarizing accounts transactions. Also manage filing system of accounts department and assist with the preparation of financial accounts and MIS reports.

Functional Responsibilities
  • To assist the Line Manager in the conduct of the financial Management and Accounting functions.
  • Recording, classifying and summarizing basic accounting transactions.
  • Assist Line Manager in preparing journal vouchers accurately ensuring booking of entries under appropriate accounting heads for all transactions taking place in the organization.
  • Record all details of revenues received and correctly posted in the books of accounts.
  • Go through General Ledger transactions to provide details and breakups for various expenses and other account heads.
  • Data entry of various vouchers.
  • Monthly Bank Reconciliation Statements.
  • Compute depreciation from FA module.
  • Assisting with the preparation of financial accounts and MIS reports.
  • Carrying out various routine reconciliations (Banks, Suppliers, and Customers etc.)
  • To send monthly declaration to Insurance companies to cover all assets.
  • To assist the Asst. Finance Manager in the preparation of short term and long term budgets.
  • To assist in the design and implementation of procedures to ensure that line managers have appropriate information in the goal setting, decision-making and performance monitoring.
  • Maintaining records through proper filing system, including Master list of files in the accounts department.
  • Coordinate with the external Auditors as per the instruction from the Line Manager and participate in the audit program to facilitate the finalization of financial statements.
  • Coordinate with the internal Auditors as per the instruction from the Line Manager and provide them necessary information and financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance to Safety, Quality, Food Safety and Environment requirements as specified in the global QHSE Management System with strict adherence to ISO and local regulatory authority.
  • Ensure that all records and documents are up to date, true & correct and have full traceability at all times and that all processes, procedures & activities meet and match those laid down under company ISO and management procedures.
  • Coordinate with the external Auditors as per the instruction from the Line Manager and participate in the audit program to facilitate the finalization of financial statements.
  • Coordinate with the internal Auditors as per the instruction from the Line Manager and provide them necessary information and financial statements.

  • Perform any other job/task assigned by the Line Manager to accomplish department objectives.
Requirements

Education/ Qualifications
Bachelors degree in finance or accounting
Experience
At least 4-5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing industry.
Functional Skills & Specific Knowledge
Comprehensive industry knowledge.
Expert knowledge of basic accounting transactions and MIS reports.
In depth knowledge of financial / ERP systems
