Develop and maintain overview of all grants, donor requirements, rules and regulations, and internal and external deadlines, including filing of grant documents
Be updated on donor priorities, trends and track and share relevant calls for proposals
Document, analyze, and share learning from proposal and reporting process, and compliance with donor rules and regulations
Contribute to continuously improving internal grant management systems
Responsible for leading the development of grants proposals, including facilitating the Go no Go (GnG) and PPM, preparing templates and timeline.
Lead coordination of inputs from all departments, including programme and support at Country Office (CO) and Area Office (AO) levels, and ensure coherence of all documents and provide quality review.
Review grants agreements and support contract negotiations.
Act as an internal help-desk on donor compliance as well as ensure filing of grant documents
Support to the development and implementation of the country office fundraising strategy
Ensure donor reporting deadlines are tracked and the grants tracker is up to date.
Responsible for leading the coordination and consolidation of inputs from all departments, including programme and support at Country Office (CO) and Area Office (AO) levels, for all donor reports and to perform quality review.
Organize and facilitate PRM and GCM Meetings at Country Office (CO) and Area Office (AO) levels for all grants.
Represent NRC in donor meetings and with partners as delegated by the Head of Programme
Support external donor audits at the request of finance and compliance.
Responsible for leading the development of tools and SOPs for efficient internal grants management systems.
Line manage grants coordinators and support capacity building initiatives for staff in grants related topics such as NRC Project Cycle Management (PCM) framework, donor reporting, donor regulations, etc.
Professional Competencies and Qualifications Required
These are skills, knowledge and experience that are important for effective performance.
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study.
Five years of experience in grant management or a closely related field, with the most recent role in a management position
Excellent experience of donor relations and grants management (e.g., with institutional humanitarian and development donors);
Experience working in complex environments and with displaced populations. Knowledge of the NGO operations and the dynamics of the humanitarian sector.
Excellent understanding of donor rules and regulations, particularly USAID, OCHA, ECHO, EC-DG NEAR and GFFO
Proven skills and experience in report and proposal development and working with multiple donors
Willingness to travel to area offices and work in difficult environment according to travel requirements.
Good cultural awareness and sensitivity.
Able to demonstrate experience of contributing to positive organisational change.
Proficient in computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Windows Word and Excel.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
