The Associate Director, Construction is responsible for supporting in leading the Construction activities at Roshn within masterplans. Assure Delivery of the project on time as per the Construction contract standard. Manages and coordinates projects through all phases of permitting, construction and Handover.
Accountabilities:
- Support Leading the development and update of the function strategy in line with the department strategy, and championing coordination with the holding as applicable
- Support Leading the operations of the function and any sub-functions, play a key role in establishing a clear direction for others and champion collaboration between them and any other key stakeholders
- Contribute in Developing the function's annual plan and budget and contribute to its consolidation at a department's level, ensuring optimal allocation of human and financial resources to achieve the long-term strategy
- Assists in Develop and maintain the function's guidelines, policies and processes in line with holding directions and champion their implementation across, where applicable
- Support in the mobilization and handover activities at the beginning of the construction phase as part of the execution stage of the project and ensure adherence to planned timeline
- Manage and coordinate services provided by Project Management or similar consultants (when appointed) to meet project objectives
- Manage and coordinate the contractors work (when no consultant is appointed) to meet project objectives
- Manage all variations in collaboration with the nominated Development project lead to ensure that all changes to the design are aligned with overall design plans
- Collaborate with the Commercial team in order to review any variations coming from the contractor and plan how to manage them without impacting the project plans
- Manage the testing and commissioning of the facilities in order to ensure that all facilities are properly running before handover to owners and tenants
- Ensure that all necessary occupation certificates, utility connection certificates etc. as part of the handover phase are in place
- Ensure that all projects are in compliance with all applicable codes, legal and Roshan’s specific requirements
- Ensure effective Quality Assurance standards in place and that they are implemented on project level
- Ensure effective QHSE standards in place to ensure the safety of the workers on site
- Manage the performance and development of all subordinates
- Lead the operations of the department as assigned, whilst effectively leading and guiding members of senior management as well as building and sharing a strategic vision that others can aspire and commit to
- Establish the required performance standards within the department, ensuring effective cascading to respective teams and management of adherence to them
- Supervise and review performance of individuals in the team
- Give direction and leadership towards the achievement of the division’s strategy, annual goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree & +15 years of relevant work experience
