- Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies, and procedures to support the franchise’s operational requirements while aligning with the brand’s guidelines.
- Source, select, and onboard suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, pricing, and contractual agreements to optimize cost and quality.
- Collaborate with the brand’s headquarters and franchise management to align on procurement objectives, supplier selection, and product specifications.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and assess market trends to ensure competitive advantage.
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including purchase requisitions, supplier evaluation, negotiation, purchase orders, and delivery tracking.
- Monitor and forecast inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock availability while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Operations, Finance, and Quality Assurance, to align procurement activities and resolve any supply-related issues.
- Implement and maintain a supplier performance evaluation system, regularly reviewing supplier performance, quality, and service levels.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, including product quality standards, import/export requirements, and documentation.
- Optimize logistics and distribution processes, coordinating with transportation providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
- Analyze procurement data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement initiatives to improve overall procurement efficiency.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering strategic partnerships and conducting periodic supplier performance reviews.
- Stay updated on industry trends and innovations, recommending process improvements and implementing best practices in procurement and supply chain management.
- Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management, preferably in the food or hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and supply chain principles.
- Familiarity with local regulations and import/export procedures related to food and beverage products in Qatar.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers.
- Analytical mindset, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple procurement projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Proficiency in using procurement software, inventory management systems, and MS Office applications.
- Detail-oriented approach, ensuring accuracy in documentation, product specifications, and supplier performance evaluation.
- Certification in procurement or supply chain management is a plus.
- Fluent in English & Arabic.
