Product Technologist

The role

As a Senior Quality Assurance Technologist you'll be responsible for leading and coordinating various technical activities across the business. You'll work closely with our UK based garment technology teams to ensure production samples are fitted correctly, as well as working closely with existing and new suppliers to maintain regular quality checks.

In Garment Technology, we obsess about our products' quality, design, and fit. We collaborate daily with the Buying and Design teams across the Group. For us, it’s all about speed, being commercial and ensuring our customers look and feel their best.

What you'll be doing

• Support Fabric and Quality Manager to reach local and global goals
• Support UK Garment technologists and implement necessary actions at suppliers to support Boohoo local sealing project
• Coordinate all Product Technologist and QCs to conduct in line and final inspections in a proper way
• Train all new suppliers based on quality manuals and ensure they have an understanding of Boohoo Quality expectation we have for new suppliers.
• Organise regular meeting with RED RATED suppliers.
• Initiate a CAPAR(Corrective and Preventive Action Plan) for Red Rated suppliers, this is to ensure necessary action has been completed.
• Ensure Boohoo testing policy in place across all Turkish suppliers
• Keep records on supplier performance and regularly analyse their performance.

More about you

• Previous experience within a similar role in a fast-paced environment is essential
• A technically oriented qualification, preferably at degree level, is essential
• Good technical knowledge across all product categories
• Good knowledge on testing and product safety
• Experience of working directly with ethical suppliers.
• Able to communicate in fluent English.
• Strong time-management skills; able to prioritise tasks and change direction with agility
• Confident using Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel and Word
• Keen to expand skill set as the role demands.
