Rackspace has been commissioned by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to assure the build of a sovereign multi tenant private cloud that we have designed. Under contract Rackspace will fulfil 3 strategic functions, led by the Delivery Director, as part of a 3 year programme, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
1. Design and Build Assurance – Overseeing the plans, schedule and build of 20 vendors, individually deploying to install and configure their infrastructure, according to the schedule and standards laid down by Rackspace
2. CMP Development – Designing, Building and releasing MVPs into service which allow firstly administration functions to be created and utilised, leveraging automation, and subsequently building in further automation and service controls
3. Strategic Advisory – Against a designed TOM laid down by Rackspace, supporting the mobilisation of resources, executing a training strategy, and providing expertise to build out the cloud management office

Role Overview
- Customer facing role designing and developing solutions for large-scale cloud- based services. Adheres to established coding and process best practices. Uses and contributes to architectural standards and best practices. Motivates and provides technical leadership to team members in project initiatives to contribute their best. Drives and coordinates research, proof of concept and/or prototype works by project team members. Drives quality improvement initiatives.
- Technical management of project resource to ensure quality output and mentoring for success and career development of less senior technical staff.
- Views any project as a part of a larger, company-wide architecture and being able secure necessary collaboration to deliver success, both for the company and the project. Maintains a collaborative working relationship with others by seeking, using and giving feedback. Open to and values diverged thinking, ideas and opinions from others and being able to manage any healthy contention.
- Shows own conviction in project ideas without shutting out others’ ideas. Appeals for support from others with data and facts. Anticipates and manages reaction from others. Influenced a paradigm shift in others as necessary in order to gain support for complex ideas and solutions.
- Operates in a highly strategic manner, highly consultative approach with the largest, most complex customers and prospects. Aligns customer business strategies and IT architecture utilising Rackspace Intellectual capital and regularly provides feedback for enhancements. Works closely with senior leadership of client organizations as well as key technical personnel.

Knowledge
- Intricate knowledge of Rackspace infrastructure and architecture and business impact of technologies.
- Capable of building a comprehensive business case for a new project or product effort.
- Systematic and structured in problem solving approach.
- Able to anticipate business and industry issues and recommend new and innovative approaches to respond.
- Requires broad technology knowledge, with an emphasis on managed hosting and cloud computing, with deep expertise in at least one leading technology platform.
- Appreciation of Enterprise Service management (ITIL 4, IT4IT frameworks) and their applicability for the provision of Enterprise managed services
- Knowledge of IT frameworks like ITIL, TOGAF, Agile, ELMO
- Comprehensive knowledge of common industry technologies and trends
- Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, competitive offerings, strategic partners, corporate vision, and long-range company objectives.
- Required to maintain a deep knowledge of emerging technologies in the marketplace.
- Proven ability in business and systems analysis and systems architecture.
- Ability to help navigate significant deals around internal obstacles to ensure revenue realization.
- Ability to supervise deliverables from multiple teams to ensure customer needs are met.
- Track record of success dealing with ambiguity (internal and external) and working collaboratively with other departments and organizations to solve challenging problems.
- Architectural understanding of CI/CD and Dev/Sec/Ops and SRE concepts and delivery of IAC type solutions and their implementation

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field required.
- Architect certification , ITIL, TOGAF, Agile, ELMO or significant progress toward certification
- Service management certification or equivalent knowledge (ITIL , IT4IT, Cobit)
- Additional Business focused certifications highly desired.
