Role Summary
- Overall Client Engagement and Customer Delivery of the Water Utility is the primary responsibility as NEOM develops
- Supervise & execute Events & Exhibitions freight transactions
- Coordinate amongst all stakeholders to ensure collaboration and integration of activities
- On-site management
- Follow approved policies, procedures, and processes in reporting units
- Execute contract management with the team and ensure all are managed in an efficient and cost-effective way.
- Plan and coordinate various logistics for event and exhibition
- Supervise and execute the operations for events & exhibition ensuring safe, cost effective, achievable, and efficient process for execution.
- Identify & implement effective and appropriate methods for handling of events logistics including on-site operations, loading/offloading, site manpower management & packing
- Understand the scope and requirement of each event and prepare a plan to provide required resources to execute the operations.
- Plan events with attention to financial and time constraints
- Research vendors and choose the best combination of quality and cost
- Do final checks before event to ensure all requirements are met
- Planning for potential scenarios that could impact the integrity of the event along with mitigation plan
- Communicate directly with proponent throughout the event planning process to learn requirements and goals
- Identify training needs & opportunities to develop a highly skilled functional department
- Communicates with department regarding customer accounts & workload distribution
- Maintaining and implementing good working practices & procedures to ensure department efficiency.
- Suggest strategies for improvement in operational process
- Handle documentation as per the appropriate requirements and regulations, and through the appropriate platforms and systems
- Support operations & customer service in issue resolutions
- Maintain relationships with key clients, keeping them up to date on the process of their goods and informing them of factors such as shipping options, timelines, or regulations affecting shipments
- Develop and maintain ongoing business relationship with key events venues in the Kingdom
- Conduct post event evaluations and suggest improvements methods
- Fulfill other tasks & responsibilities as given by the FFW Operations Manager
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management or business administration or a related field
- Preferably a masters’ degree in logistics, supply chain management or business administration
- At least 8 years of experience in freight forwarding for major multinational companies, with at least 4 years in managing on-site events and exhibitions
- Strong motivation skills in addition to decision making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent English verbal and written skills, other languages like Arabic/Hindi/Urdu is an advantage
- Excellent MS computer software skills
