Primary Job Function
Have expert knowledge of finance processes and procedures as applied to a major department.
Have an expert knowledge of the function/business area in which they sit and be able to facilitate the efficient use of financial processes and measurement to meet business direction and need.
Will have professional financial skills extensive experience of applying financial solutions in a business environment.
As a member of French Africa cluster Finance team, the FP&A will work closely with FAC Finance head to manage the coordination, consolidation, reporting, and analysis of the budget Plan/LBE, monthly planning forecasts and short/ longer-term cash flow analysis
In this role will work across functions and business lines to conduct financial analysis and insights to the key stakeholders to support strategic business decisions.

Core Job Responsibilities
Responsible to conduct the monthly local closing, and perform the US GAAP reporting Responsible for adherence to Abbott policies and procedures and perform the quarterly internal control. Provide financial support and fully support achievement of financial plans, goals and objectives Implement budgeting, financial planning and forecasting and Provide quality analysis and commentary to variances in Actuals versus Budget Conduct short and longer-term cash flow analysis and forecasting Drive accurate and timely submission through weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting Identify risks and opportunities in the region and develop plans to mitigate and manage them Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and predictive analytics to provide visibility into the financial impact of strategic decisions (Support on preparing the Business reviews, S&OP, Business case scenarios…) Ensure corporate policies and procedures are implemented, followed and where necessary, proper deviations are obtained to be in line with market conditions Follow the ethics and compliance policies
Key Success Factors
Demonstrating a deep understanding of the relationship between the business and finance strategy. Assist the finance Manager to implement and influence the setting of the financial strategy by focusing on profitability and cash management. P&L management and prioritization
– efficient use of financial processes and measurement (P&L & Cash Flow budget management) to meet business direction and needs. Provide Metrics and dashboards to track business KPI’s Provide feedbacks and guidance to more junior staff to ensure financial reporting accuracy of the cluster in the appropriate timelines Innovation – Drive and implement new tools for supporting the business and finance manager to identify business opportunities and minimize the risks Having strong time management skills including organization, prioritization, planning and stress management to meet key goals of the position in the required timelines.
Qualifications
- Graduate level (major in Accounting). Preferably CPA or CA.
- Minimum 5 years in a Similar position, in multinational environment (pharmaceutical industry preferred)
