- Designs, develops and manages quality assurance programs, standards, and plans, in collaboration with other functions.
- Advises and consults on all quality-related issues.
- Provides training, coaching and mentoring regarding quality standards, quality plans and company Quality System (QS) application use.
- Performs periodic testing and documents results for certification and compliance purposes. Develops reports, files and other administrative paperwork in support of quality plans and systems.
- Interacts with customers and suppliers to aid in resolution of major quality issues.
- Monitors adherence to established quality standards, recommending changes as needed.
- Supports continuous process improvement initiatives and incorporates Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Administers, supports and utilizes the QS applications software as a system administrator. Monitors the effective use of the various QS applications.
- Communicates goals and objectives, applies company policy, staffs, trains, coaches, recommends salary increases, ensures positive colleague relations and reviews the performance of colleagues.
- Develops and implements EH&S programs.
- Conducts comprehensive EH&S audits at operating facilities to identify hazards and compliance issues.
- Monitors, analyzes, and advises new EH&S regulations applicable to Greif operations.
- Recommend corrective actions and follow-up until completion.
- Provides input and influence in the preparation of EH&S policies.
- Conducts training sessions at corporate and facility levels.
- Identifies, tracks, and analyzes EH&S related metrics.
- Responsible for internal and external compliance reporting.
- Experience with ISO Certifications and audits
- Experience in a varied role that includes quality and safety activities
- Experience working in claim/complaint management preferred
- Experience with Total Quality Management, Continuous Improvement and Lean tools a plus
- Fluent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic, French and English
