Job Summary Director of Engineering is an in important member of the Excom leadership team of the resort. Develops and implements engineering strategies that will deliver products and services, which meet or exceed the needs and expectations of guests and employees while maximizing the financial performance. Responsible for maintaining standards and regulatory requirements. Leads the emergency response team for all facility issues Deatailed Description Manages the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment and electrical systems in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures. Develops an engineering operating strategy that is aligned with the property/brand’s business strategy. Oversee the physical operations of the hotel, including maintenance and repair of interior and exterior of buildings, hotel rooms and contents, laundry and kitchen/refrigeration equipment, lighting, heating, air conditioning (HVAC), ventilation Respond in a courteous and prompt manner to all guest questions, complaints and/or requests to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction. Direct the daily activities of the department. Plan and organize work, communicate goals, and schedule employees to ensure proper coverage. Communicate and enforce policies and procedures. Develops the Capital Budget and annual maintenance budgets.
