We are looking for a Tax Lead, who will play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive tax services that adhere to legal requirements and regulations while ensuring timely completion. You will establish strong client relationships, provide strategic planning, and offer expert guidance. Your responsibilities will encompass tax planning, risk mitigation, team coordination, process enhancement, and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a full spectrum of tax services in compliance with relevant laws and regulations within specified timeframes.
- Build and nurture client relationships, offering exceptional planning, consulting, and expertise.
- Develop innovative tax strategies and oversee complex income tax returns.
- Identify and address potential tax risks proactively.
- Supervise accounting staff and evaluate their performance.
- Manage the tax provision and compliance processes.
- Champion process improvement initiatives and implement best practices.
- Oversee tax audits and ensure efficient coordination.
- Maintain accurate tax balances on the general ledger.
- Prepare tax documents regularly and address data requests efficiently.
- Plan and organize payments related to statutory and compliance obligations.
- Monitor tax payment obligations, including Good & Service Tax (GST), Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), and other relevant taxes.
- Verify and process employee reimbursements.
- Manage employee travel procedures, including advance payments, allowance calculations, and settlement tracking.
- Allocate and standardize expenses for cost tracking and analysis.
- Maintain a vendor log and oversee bill collection.
- Contribute to month-end closure activities, including provisions and prepaid expenses accounting.
- Post transactions accurately to journals, ledgers, and records.
- Lead project management teams, organizing and directing divisional and organizational projects.
- Ensure stakeholder readiness by providing training, workshops, and communication to facilitate seamless change initiatives.
- Cultivate positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead initiatives and growth projects aligning corporate departments for effective execution.
- Uphold policies, procedures, and processes, and promote adherence within the organization.
- Contribute to process improvement opportunities and enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 4-5 years of relevant experience in tax accounting and compliance.
- Proficiency in tax software and MS Office suite.
- Strong understanding of tax accounting, compliance, and various tax return types.
