Job scope:
As a Tech Lead (Ruby on Rails), you will be responsible for ensuring smooth functioning of all Software Development/Technical Operations. You will also be identifying the project requirements and developing design structure.
You will be required to analyze ongoing projects and write progress reports on the same. Furthermore, you will be responsible for leading the software development team and overseeing their performance.
Job duties:
- Oversee daily technical operations and rectify any issues in a timely manner
- Understand and analyze project briefs and requirements, to develop detailed structure and manage deliverablesin a timely manner
- Prepare progress reports and present to senior management
- Detect any technical problems and fix on spot
- Check and update systems and software on a regular basis
- Conduct periodic security checks/audits
- Ensure the use of good quality code to avoid monetary damage
- Implement best practices and coding standards
- Manage the Frontend & Backend Development Teams
- Train new employees and optimizing team performance
- Coordinate with the developers in addressing technical debt
- Liaise with the developers for project completion by assigning work tasks and managing schedule
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science or any related field
- At least 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software/Mobile Developer, or similar role
- Previous experience as a Tech Lead is a plus
- A certification in Project Management Professional is desirable
- Knowledge of latest technologies, industry best practices, and latest trends
- Expertise in Ruby on Rails and React Native programming languages
- Knowledge of code versioning tools and databases
- Excellent technical expertise
- Strong analytical and debugging skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Good leadership skills and ability to manage teams to deliver within deadline while maintaining a positive and motivating work environment
- Highly motivated and willing to learn new technologies
- Good organizational skills
- Highly accurate and logical
