It builds, owns and operates telecom passive infrastructure, providing services to mobile network operators. Helios Towers currently operates in 9 markets in Africa and Oman in the Middle East
Mission/core purpose of the job:
As a NOC Operator you should be well versed with Telecom Network Operations and should have relevant experience in working in the back office. It is a 24*7 job role where you will have to coordinate with the field teams to provide back-office support for the execution of daily tasks in the field.
Key Job Responsibilities:
As a NOC Operator, you will be responsible for:
- Monitoring the status of telecommunications sites infrastructure.
- Clearly documenting any network problems
- Open, correctly update, and close trouble tickets (TTs).
- Action any fault alarms received.
- Informing the field supervisors and maintenance contractors of faults and track corrective actions till faults are cleared.
- Ensuring faults are reported and cleared within the defined timescales.
- Control site access.
- Performing 24/7 shift-coverage.
- Daily, weekly, monthly reporting to the NOC Supervisor/ Assistant NOC Manager.
Job Specifications/Minimum & Preferred Requirements:
- Diploma in electrical engineering or IT.
- A minimum of 12-18 months experience in Technical Support or similar role.
