Job Role
Role Objective:
- To provide direction and monitor the performance of the IT function towards achieving the business plan of the company by ensuring continuity of Information technology including applications, infrastructure and support.
- To ensure optimum user support and effective network services for all the company's employees, this would include managing the availability, reliability and integrity of the company's IT operating systems, applications and hardware through the provision of necessary technical support.
Strategic Operational
- Establish annual departmental goals and objectives to define how the company's IT activities will contribute to the achievement of the company vision, mission and strategy.
- Provide technology vision and leadership for developing and implementing IT initiatives that create and maintain Al Nasser's position in the evolving and changing marketplace.
- Provide input into the development and allocation of the annual budget for the IT Department based on approved upon departmental activities; solicit advice from the Finance & Accounts Head for the purposes of the departmental budget.
- Develop relevant policies and procedures pertaining to the IT Department; ensure compliance to departmental policies and procedures by all department staff.
- Lead and direct implementation of computing and information technology plans, programs and schedules for business and finance data processing, computer services, network communications, management information services, and computer centers.
- Review, maintain and ensure adherence to all IT infrastructure related contracts that includes network, internet, maintenance and support contracts.
- Design, review and update IT policies, processes and standard operating procedures periodically; oversee their implementation to ensure high quality and reliable technology support (i.e. networks, e-mail, data center access, applications and deployment support to meet business requirements).
- Review purchase requirements of hardware, software or any other IT peripherals and approve as per the company's delegation of authority matrix.
- Evaluate and select IT vendors to ensure that the company receives high quality IT services.
- Ensure that effective IT business continuity plans (back up servers, etc.) are in place to ensure minimal loss of working time and data in case of emergencies; oversee periodic tests to check the readiness of systems and staff to handle such contingencies.
- Ensure prompt IT helpdesk support for Al Nasser's users with their reported problems in line with Al Nasser's internal quality
- standards.
- Lead the on-site and off-site support to all business lines in order to ensure superior customer service levels as per the company's business needs.
- Lead IT operational awareness and investigate opportunities for the development and enhancement of current IT systems.
- Initiate and lead periodic internal customer satisfaction surveys to identify critical areas of improvement for the IT department in terms of its services.
- Assessment of new technology as per international trends and developments in the fields of IT to ensure best in class IT services for the company.
- Coordinate with Internal Audit to ensure regular review of IT security standards e.g. review audit reports to ensure that all transactions and processes are in compliance with Al Nasser's approved policies, processes and procedures
- Assist management in any other tasks as required by business.
- Establish the performance plans for direct subordinates; Monitor and guide them in managing their performance by providing appropriate feedback
- Allocate work to subordinates and ensure that subordinates are aware and familiar with assigned tasks and responsibilities Participate in the identification of training and development initiatives for all employees and ensure continuous on-the-job training and other learning interventions for the employees within the department
- Drive the engagement and satisfaction of all employees within the HR through holding periodic meetings to discuss the achievements and address any employee issues and/or concerns.
- Manage leave and overtime to ensure the efficiency of the group and assist subordinates in resolution of any problems, discrepancies, and inquiries..
- Master's Degree in Information Systems Technology;
- 12-15 years of experience in a senior management role preferably in the retail industry
- 8-10 years' experience in the field of IT;

Benefits:
- Potential Incentive Based on the achievement of the Business Plan (50% on sales achievement monthly wise and 50% Yearly based on the KPI, Performance and Achievement)
- Annual Leave 30days
- Ticket Self & Spouse and 2 Kids (under 18), per annum not more than KD 180/ each - after completing 9 months
- Medical Insurance Self, Spouse and 2 Kids (under 18), residing in the country of employment
- Life Insurance 12 months salary
- Kids Education 50% of actual school charge for a maximum number of two children, and an amount not greater than 1,200/- KD per child. School fees will be extended to maximum of two children below the age of 18 and residing in the country of employment
- Telephone Allowance Sim Card with 20/- KD limit
- Probation & Notice Period 100 days
