Role Purpose
The Travel Specialist is responsible for supporting all aspects of travel within the organization. This includes developing and implementing travel policies, managing travel expenses, and ensuring that all travel arrangements meet the needs of the organization and its employees.
Key Accountabilities & Activities
- Develop and implement travel policies and procedures.
- Support relationships with travel agencies and vendors.
- Negotiate contracts or rates with travel service providers.
- Provide advice on travel documents, insurance, import/export regulations, etc.
- Handle credit card programs and charges.
- Process T&E reports and handle reimbursements.
- Ensure compliance in all aspects of travel procedures.
- Drive continuous improvement of travel programs.
- Handle and track travel expenses and budgets.
- Communicate and educate employees about travel policies.
- Handle and oversee all travel arrangements and operations (air, lodgings etc.)
- Support relationships with travel agencies and vendors.
- Negotiate contracts or rates with travel service providers.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a travel administrator, manager or similar role.
- Knowledge of international travel regulations, customs and currencies.
- Knowledge of T&E reporting and processing.
- Working knowledge of MS Office and CTM/GDS solutions.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and negotiation skills.
- Well-organized and reliable.
- An analytical mind with strong business acumen.
- Excellent organizing and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance or relevant field.
