An excellent opportunity for IT system admin came up with our client, a growing lifestyle company based in Dubai:
Responsibilities
- Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware
- Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems that provide a commercial advantage in a global marketplace
- Enable faster and more innovative business processes and implement analytics for meaningful insights
- Monitor system performance to ensure everything runs smoothly and securely
- Replace and upgrade defective or outdated components when necessary
- Maintain internal infrastructure requirements including, laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, and security updates; support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments
- Document any processes that employees need to follow in order to successfully work within our computing system
- Perform routine/scheduled audits of the systems, including all backups
Requirements
- Min 2 - 3yrs experience as an IT system admin in the hospitality or retail sector
- Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
- Experience in managing and supporting servers, backup, and storage hardware
- Experience in systems monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
- Experience with planning, implementing, and improving system policies and configurations
- Ability to prioritize a wide range of workloads with critical deadlines
- Availability outside of working hours to resolve emergency issues promptly
- Experience with both iOS and Windows operating systems
