Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for a Service Technician opportunity based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. You will be responsible for servicing, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of heat exchangers installed in various customer locations in the Middle East and Africa region.
This is a full-time job and the role reports to the Service Manager – MENA.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
Perform heat exchangers service, maintenance as required and assigned.
Perform all on-site activities related to installation, commissioning, and attend to customer complaints.
Perform the troubleshooting, repair of heat exchangers in the field and identify all issues.
Communicate with the onsite customer to ensure relation are handled professionally.
Handle all required tools, documents, communication, paperwork, reporting required for successful job execution.
Maintain equipment cleanliness and ensure proper housekeeping on job sites.
Comply with all company and customer safety procedure in line with HSE requirement, Quality and all the company policy, procedures, work instruction and guidelines.
Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings.
Compile a field service report on the findings and ensure that it is signed by the customer.
Build positive relationships and trust with customers and clients.
Keep information confidential
Maintain weekly and monthly records of activities and tasks.
Document the equipment serviced, parts used, travel/site hours, and expenses to support customer invoicing.
Team up with colleagues and other team members
Background & Skills
The ideal candidate possesses these skills.
One year diploma in mechanical or equivalent courses.
4 to 5 years of hands-on field service experience, mechanical experience that includes solid mechanical skills and technical aptitude
Ability to troubleshoot, repair and service technical equipment
Install, startup and shut down equipment in accordance to company and customer safety procedure
Ability to work flexible hours and to adapt to changing work schedules as per the requirement.
Has the ability to learns new technical and maintenance skills easily.
Works with customers and has excellent customer service skills.
Collaborates with managers and service technicians has strong interpersonal skills.
Good time-management skills.
Communication skills.
Organization skills, with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks.
Fluent in English.
Basic PC skills
Role requires ability to lift heavy items and perform tasks requiring physical strength (climbing, standing, equipment use)
