Air Operations Advisor capable of providing engineering advice and applying previous military aviation experience to assist in the expansion of operations and execution of Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) operational support in the Air domain. The candidate will have an excellent knowledge of fixed wing and rotary aircraft maintenance and the supporting functions such as airworthiness regulations, spares management, GSE, planning and quality assurance and will assist in the management of ongoing operations and development of future opportunities.
A. Job Purpose:
To provide Air domain engineering advice to Our Clients Senior Manager inclusive of all aspects of
maintenance and repair of Air systems, quality assurance and oversight of Our Clients Air Operations.
B. Duties and Responsibilities
This is a senior specialist role providing engineering advice and applying previous military aviation experience to assist in the expansion of operations and execution of Barzan Maintenance Shield (Our Clients) Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) in the Air domain. The role will be based at various Divisions & Our Clients offices but will require regular travel to End User locations within Qatar and may require travel to visit supplier organizations.
Through an excellent knowledge of fixed wing and rotary aircraft maintenance and the supporting functions such as airworthiness regulations, spares management, GSE, overall planning etc, the successful candidate will assist our clients management team in managing ongoing operations. He shall provide technical/operational assistance and utilize their previous experience to advise Our Clients Senior Management team in ensuring success of current operations of our Clients in the Air Domain.
This will involve but not be limited to:
Providing support to the Our Clients senior management team through the oversight of ongoing Our Clients Air operations.
Conducting reviews, audits and hands-on checks of our Clients Air operations.
Identifying and developing future opportunities (including establishing detailed Scopes of Work) for future air domain platforms.
Assisting in the review of potential partners and suppliers through appropriate technical and commercial evaluation up to and including the review, amendment and finalization of MRO supporting contracts with both end user and supplier / partner organisations.
Ensuring contracts KPIs and deliverables are met on timely and professionally manner.
Utilising previous supply chain management experience to develop spare parts pipelines and procedures.
Providing advice (from proven experience) on air domain regulations and authorities.
Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and other stakeholders.
Input to overall our Clients development and objectives and establishing long term strategies (for both Air and other domains).
Development of our Clients policy, guidelines and Quality Management System.

15-20 Years of relevant work experience
Previous Job Experience
Military Aviation Maintenance Management: Practical experience and an excellent understanding of Military Air Domain MRO including aviation maintenance and repair policy and procedure.
Drafting/developing technical documentation; personnel and stakeholder management; development of business opportunities.
Working internationally and specifically in the Middle East in the past would be advantageous.
