The sourcing officer will be responsible to achieve certain tasks, which we may not list them all.
Some core tasks are listed below:
Foresees future market needs and demands
Analyzes the evolving trends and submit a report to sourcing head
Sources the best products in terms of the unique products on time
Coordinates and negotiates with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products
Manages the sampling and product approval process
Carries on market study for the purpose of identifying right products, new product line and categories
Conducts supplier analysis and evaluate potential vendors based on quality of products, the best possible price, volume of discounts and delivery standards
Evaluates supplier core competencies
Identifies ways to reduce costs without manipulating the quality
Establishes relationships with suppliers to achieve sustainable business advantage
Conducts market site visits for competitors analysis
Requirements:
Academic Bachelor degree, not necessarily relevant to business administration
English proficiency
Computer skills
Able to travel abroad
Good communication, negotiation skills
Eye for the right product
