Job Purpose


Hikma IT aspires to evolve into a customer centric, value-driven strategic partner to the Business. The IT Digital Management Business Partner works with business segments to align technology direction and partners to define relevant and effective solutions and services to drive business value.


The IT Digital Management Business Partner is responsible for investigating and assessing cost-effective, timely and relevant solutions to the Business in partnership with Hikma’s Global Communications Group creating technology roadmaps and developing solutions that meet the Global Hikma needs. This role will act as a subject matter expert for technology-related processes and systems, accountability for implementations and providing leadership to IT teams supporting the Business Unit. All IT-related issues, initiatives, upgrades, project implementations, etc. for the Business will be coordinated through this role.


The focus will be on ensuring process standardization through enabling web and mobile native technologies while optimizing costs, driving efficiency, mitigating risks, delivering value to the business and increasing internal and external customer satisfaction. This is a global role looking across Hikma, ensuring the limitation of application sprawl and rationalizing solutions wherever appropriate.


In addition to being the IT Business Partner this role will also manage Hikma’s Digital Assets and act as a Business Analyst to for the Digital Landscape of Hikma’s Intranet and Internet (Hikma.com). This involves working closely with our third-party partners to manage Hikma’s web assets and developing a taxonomy that facilitates growth and effective administration.


When this role has direct reports, he/she coaches and mentors direct reports to accomplish organizational and department priorities.


Additionally, The person will work with the business to explore the business problems, evaluate solution options, and initiate IT projects according to the IT portfolio process.


Key Accountabilities


  • Act as a thought leader for establishing and delivering the Business Digital IT vision & strategy aligned with the Business strategy and within the Group framework.
  • Review and evaluate requests for new sites or enhancements to the Hikma landscape related to digital products – web and mobile platforms
  • Participates in Business digital strategy planning and Group IT strategic planning.
  • Drive a multi-year technology vision to support Regional strategic plans aligned with Group IT infrastructure and platform roadmaps.
  • Acts as an advisor to the Business Unit Leadership Team to shape their respective business strategy with regards to technology and digital capabilities and ensure they are aware of and able to leverage various IT service offerings; participates in strategic and operational governance processes of the Business Unit.
  • Applies expertise in business process and technology, understands and balances the immediate needs of the Business Unit or function, supports new business demands and helps define future solutions regarding suitable digital systems and IT services.
  • Acts as liaison between IT, Communications and Corporate Affairs, Legal, Compliance, designers, branding and Regulatory affairs on all the domains and digital assets creation, exposure, content and IP to ensure internal guidelines are followed.
  • Navigate a highly regulated industry environment to adhere and protect the company and its digital assets by keeping information and assets compliant with the industry and the various jurisdictions of Hikma’s geographical footprint.
  • Works with the business on prioritization of work based on business and IT capacity across a living portfolio
  • Develops, tracks, and controls the information technology annual operating and capital budgets and identifies opportunities to optimize IT spend for supported areas
  • Aligned with the Business Unit and Group IT governance, approves, prioritizes, and monitors projects and the project portfolio as they relate to the selection, acquisition, development, and installation of major information systems in compliance with PPMO guidance
  • Ensures continuous delivery of IT services through oversight of service level agreements with end users and monitoring of IT systems performance with accountable global technology delivery teams.
  • If applicable, actively participates in recruitment, development and retention of all IT staff in accordance with budgetary objectives and personnel policies.
  • Responsible to business leadership for all IT-related escalations by working with program, product and operations teams
  • Works closely with Enterprise Architecture to ensure any system or process is aligned with one Hikma

Qualifications


QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:


  • Minimum: BS/BA Degree in Marketing, communications with technology experience, or Information Systems or related field with business and technology background
  • Preferred: MS degree


Experience


  • Minimum 7 years IT experience preferably in the Pharma or healthcare industry managing and developing Digital Assets
  • Experience in Vendor management or Business Relationship management preferred. Able to work with a vendor to deliver on business needs in a Matrixed organization
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in industry technology relative to Pharma functional disciplines, systems, tools, processes, compliance, and regulatory requirements in biopharma/Pharma/healthcare
  • Broad experience across web and mobile assets deliveries including web stacks, UX and customer facing communication channels including SharePoint.
  • Experience designing workflows, identifying IT capabilities, developing strategic roadmaps and evaluating technology solutions preferred
  • Experience in System implementation program management and budgeting and planning required.
  • Extensive experience with managing regional and global initiatives preferred

  • Understanding of the complexities of the compliance environment of Pharma IT globally and GxP.
  • Understanding of existing, new, and emerging technologies, and processing environments.
  • Ability to balance the long-term (“big picture”) and short-term implications of individual decisions and organization goals.
  • Adept at translating business needs into multi-year technology roadmaps and understanding of capability modelling as a method to understand business competency gaps.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to apply multiple solutions to business problems and guide the creation of sound business cases to support investments.
  • Ready to think, behave and act in an innovative consulting manner to drive the organization’s digital business strategies.
  • Strong organizational, project management and change management skills with the proven ability to influence, communicate and negotiate with all levels of management in order to execute and deliver measurable outcomes
  • Broad understanding of business functions and supporting technology
