Technology & Process Director

We are looking for a talented and skilled Technology & Process Director to join our multicultural and diverse team in Kuwait. Reporting to the Chief of Technology & Operational Excellence, they will be required to develop and manage a team responsible for the technology and manufacturing processes for steel melting and rolling mills, lime plants and future projects. Taking the lead in developing continuous improvement plans for equipment, processes, costs, quality and production, they will solve processes and technology problems in all engineering projects.

The successful job holder will have full authority to control and request any information related to machinery, equipment, layouts, plant capacities, processes, capabilities, deficiencies, and best practices from the business units.

Duties may include but will not be limited to:

• Developing and evaluating technical feasibility studies for new projects.
• Evaluating and recommending the best technologies available.
• Developing and improving machinery and equipment at the plants in conjunction with internal and external parties.
• Analysing the return on investment after technology CAPEX.
• Conducting technical analysis on Process Performance and ensuring that the process standards, procedures, and specifications are in place for assets.
• Developing process engineering initiatives for managing project implementation and training.
• Designing processes for optimum efficiency and cost savings.
• Building a team of experts in reliability.
• Developing a reliability plan and program.
• Improving productivity and performance by recruiting, training, and guiding resources.
  
  

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Metallurgical, Mechanical, Industrial).
• 10-15 years experience in leading Steel Melting & Rolling Mills Plants.
• Technical knowledge within the Steel Manufacturing industry specifically rolling mills.
• Knowledge of improvements in plant erection and technology production equipment.
