Job Description:
- Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs to maintain a safe workplace.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure safety measures align with operational needs.
- Provide safety training and orientation for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training activities.
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations and promote adherence to safety standards.
- Conduct safety audits to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Communicate safety guidelines and best practices to all levels of the organization.
- Stay updated with relevant safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Participate in emergency response and evacuation procedures when necessary.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience (X+ years) as a Safety Officer or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
- Certification in safety management (e.g., NEBOSH) is a plus.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Analytical mindset to assess risks and recommend solutions.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to safety.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Collaborative mindset to work with cross-functional teams.
- Problem-solving skills to address safety challenges.
