- Responsible for the Cargo execution activities as per end-to-end process map, receive and verify EDI’s provided by the customers and recording of the activities in terminal operating systems.
- Obtain inbound BAPILE in time from vessel operator and to process in TOS.
- Consolidate inbound units by uploading COPRAN/EDI in TOS. Summarize, validate, and communicate to liners.
- Check / manage vessel EDI’s related to Discharge and Load lists.
- Update / Manage VGM information.
- Keep close communication with execution, planning, gate, staff for troubleshooting issues and solving problems during operations related to Cargo control activities.
- Ensure all cargo consolidation withing cut-off time.
- Load and Discharge list to be finalized prior vessel Berthing.
- Route MT units in TOS against to the quantity advised by liner. Revert if any shortfall in MT stock, submit routed units for liner validation and to obtain liner confirmation to avoid mis-pick claims.
- Ensure that operating and reporting systems are updated with error free information received from our customers mainly though EDI exchange.
- Interact closely with the terminal planners and shipping lines regarding additional changes after set cut-off time has passed.
- Ensure consistency of treatment among customers in all communication and interaction
- Extend the support on data analyzing and reporting.
- Execution of operations test cases as needed.
- Report issues and results of executed tests and follow up solutions.
- To be involved on implement best practices.
- Define process flows and procedures.
- Define best practices within his role and responsibilities.
- Actively participate in the implementation of the TOS in its different phases.
- Execution of TOS operations test cases as needed.
- Participate in the development, testing and implementation of functional, integration, stress, performance, regression, and user acceptance tests.
- The position requires a professional standard of knowledge for planning through functional/general expertise in container operations.
- Solid understanding of Cargo control in the container terminal environment, an ability to relate with shipping lines and other related stakeholders.
- Has familiarity with the strict implementation of international standards of safe working practices within marine, stevedoring and terminal operations.
- Experience in container TOS usage and implementation is highly preferrable.
- Fundamental process development, planning skills.
- High level of planning and organizational skills
- Must be proficient in desktop computer software programs, such as MS Office
- Have good command of both written and spoken English.
