Our client is a Planning, Engineering and Surveying consultancy looking for a intermdiate level Accounts Assistant to join the team on a fixed term basis to end of Dec 2023.
- Invoicing – creating, processing, editing, reconciliations
- Purchases – checking suppliers information as needed, prepare and approve for payment, aware of any discrepancies
- Project Budget tracking
- Accurate data entry
- Generate reports and statements
- Respond to queries, resolve problems, and escalate issues as required.
- Provide assistance to Accounts Officer, Office Manager, Directors and other senior staff as required.
- Experience with creating invoices in Xero - analyzing and processing accurately
- Familiarity with engineering workflow would be a great advantage
- Ability to work and connect with others to resolve invoicing issues
- Flexible and approachable to staff
- Excel use (beginner to intermediate)
- General bookkeeping/accounting knowledge would be helpful but not necessary
- Data entry experience (intermediate)
- General administrative tasks (intermediate)
- Valid NZ working rights
