The position is based in Doha, Qatar The Legal Counsel (Corporate Affairs) will provide legal services to the Corporate Affairs Division and support Senior Legal Counsel and the Associate General Counsel (Corporate Affairs). Key Responsibilities Draft, negotiate and finalize legal agreements, ensuring legal compliance, accuracy and covering relevant business needs; Provide legal advice to internal clients and the Corporate Affairs Division to ensure legal compliance covering relevant business needs; Liaise with internal clients on matter specific requirements including through meetings and correspondence from instruction to implementation to follow up to resolution; Support the Deputy General Counsel in performing relevant legal risk assessments that may face SC and proactively develop legal risk mitigation plans, as required. Maintain and records and manage documentation through a document management system; Perform all job related duties assigned by Senior Legal Counsel, the Associate General Counsel (Corporate Affairs) or the General Counsel; Apply international best practices and legal standards whilst managing time deadlines; and Apply relevant policies and processes. Perform any other duties assigned by the Deputy General Counsel and/or the General Counsel directly related or relevant to the job. Education and certifications • Bachelor degree in relevant discipline plus and a post graduate degree in law • Professional qualification to practice law in Qatar or another country Experience and skills • Minimum 7 years of relevant legal experience • Strong, varied and relevant Qatar and international work experience • Strong and proven command of general legal and compliance principles • Strong and proven research and legal analysis skills • Strong and proven interpersonal and people management skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills
