The IT Support Officer is responsible for supporting and maintaining WTTCO’s datacenter, IT inventories and licenses in order to ensure smooth operation and IT assets availability and integrity within industry’s standards and compliance.
Key Accountabilities:
- Organize tasks and implement policies, processes, procedures, forms and tools
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and practices taking into account leading practices
- Escalate problems to ensure case/issue is closed efficiently and in a timely manner
- Contribute to the development of a user-friendly FAQ and help desk knowledge base in order to provide users with consistent answers to common requests or incidents
- Provide technical support to the end-users on network, and software-related problems to ensure effective solutions in a timely manner
- Resolve and respond to simple questions in accordance with current software standards
- Support all employees with IT software distribution to ensure continuous and efficient performance of employee tasks
- Maintain datacenter and infrastructure licenses (applications, email, portal, etc.) in order to provide recommendations for optimization and decrease of ongoing costs while ensuring continuity and integrity of services and data
- Maintain desktops and end-user software licenses in order to establish software license compliance and optimize spend across desktop computers
- Participate in the design and development of databases across regions ensuring alignment with related guidelines
- Participate in the actions and improvements to be taken on matters related to system operation, application logs, data backup, archiving, etc.
- Assist in the management of regions datacenter operations including software maintenance and performance
- Support in the implementation of business continuity and disaster recovery plans
- Support peers across the organization when needed to perform their duties
- Perform any other activities as and when required
Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience within the field
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or in any related field
