Editor - Business

We're looking for a high-performingBusiness Editor to join Stuff Digital's newly created Commissioning team and help maintain Stuff's No.1 position in this highly competitive category.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Be

• Responsible for driving the development and execution of the business content strategy, to give Stuff's audience the business news it needs, whenever and however it wants it.
• Responsible for finding and breaking high quality business stories, and providing excellent coverage across text, audio, video and supporting platforms.
• Your digital-centric strategy will champion the wider Stuff strategic goals of driving membership and digital revenue.
• Responsible for initiating and supporting content-driven commercial opportunities in
• Partnership with the commercial, marketing and product parts of the business.
• You will drive special editorial products and ideas from formulation to completion ultimately delivering the best business journalism to the biggest audience possible.
  

Key Requirements Include

• Relevant journalism qualification and experience as a senior journalist.
• The highest levels of journalistic integrity.
• Sound operational and financial skills with an appreciation of profit and cost centre management.
• Have sound strategic and management skills.
• Have a commitment to quality management and the highest standards of service.
• Have excellent planning, scheduling, and personal organisational skills.
• Have a proven ability to lead, manage, motivate, and communicate to others.
• Be astute and have good interpersonal skills, particularly when dealing with individuals from a variety of backgrounds.
• Be self-motivated and driven towards commercial success.
• Ability to address and engage audience and community groups
• Solid knowledge of media law, guidelines, principles and standards
• Data-fluent: Understands audience metrics and continually upskills to grow knowledge
• Is a team player, and an exceptional human.
